Terms of Use

Last updated October 4, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to redacted.gg and its pages (the "Site"). The Site is maintained by contributors to the Redacted open-source software (the "Contributors", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. An informational website only

The Site is an informal, community-maintained information and communication website about Redacted, open-source software for private interactions on public blockchains. It explains how the software is designed to work and points to documentation, articles and community channels.

The Site does not offer, sell or provide any financial, banking, custody, exchange, brokerage, payment, money transmission, investment, screening or compliance service, and nothing on it is an offer or solicitation to buy, sell or hold any digital asset, token or security.

2. How to read this Site

Descriptions of the Reserve, private accounts, nodes, fees, passkeys and other features describe how open-source software is designed to behave. They are not promises that any service will be provided to you. Features described as upcoming, planned or on a roadmap are aspirations that may change, arrive later or never arrive.

Screens, balances, transactions, addresses, prices, names and other examples shown on the Site are illustrative mock-ups. They do not represent real accounts, real people or real results, and are not an offer or a forecast.

The network page is different: it shows figures read from public blockchain data through third-party services. They are provided as is for general information, can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and are not a statement about anyone’s funds or an assurance that any network, node or feature is available.

3. No operation of the protocol and no custody

The Site does not operate, control, administer or govern the Redacted smart contracts, the node network, any relayer, THORChain, Rujira or any other blockchain or protocol. Actions on-chain are authorized by users, through proofs generated in their own browsers, and are executed by smart contracts and by infrastructure the Site does not control.

The Site never holds, receives, transmits or has access to any digital asset, private key, seed phrase, viewing key or account of any user, and it does not connect to your wallet.

4. No relationship and no fiduciary duty

Using the Site does not create any agency, partnership, fiduciary, advisory or other special relationship between you and the Contributors. We owe you no fiduciary duty, and no duty beyond what these terms state and what applicable law requires.

5. Independent operators and interfaces

Nodes, relayers, web interfaces, RPC providers, screeners and other infrastructure that interact with the software are run by independent third parties, or by people acting in their own capacity. They are not agents of the Site. They may refuse, delay or fail to carry transactions, change their own rules, or go offline.

The Site links to resources that are separate from it, including web interfaces such as ruji.redacted.money, the documentation, Rujira, THORChain, the Ozone screener and social channels. Links are provided for convenience only. Each resource is provided by its own maintainers, may have its own terms and is used at your own discretion and risk. The Site makes no promise about their availability, accuracy, security or functioning.

6. Ozone and other information tools

Ozone is an open-source reference tool that works from public data such as sanctions lists, issuer blacklists and reports of known hacks. Its results are informational only, may be incomplete, stale or wrong, and are not a legal determination or legal, compliance or financial advice. A result showing no match does not mean an address is lawful or safe. Nodes and other parties decide independently whether and how to use it.

7. Viewing keys and selective disclosure

Where the software lets you disclose information about your own activity, for example through viewing keys, audit keys or disclosure reports, disclosure is entirely your choice and may be irreversible once shared. The Site never holds such keys. Any reporting or disclosure obligation you have toward authorities, exchanges or others remains yours.

8. Eligibility and prohibited use

You may use the Site only if you are at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms, and only if you are not a person or entity subject to sanctions, nor acting on behalf of one.

You must not use the Site or any software described on it to handle proceeds of crime, launder money, finance terrorism, evade sanctions, defraud others or violate any law. You must not attack, overload, scrape at harmful volume, copy in a misleading way or impersonate the Site, including by running phishing clones of it.

9. Official links and safety

Official resources are redacted.gg, docs.redacted.money, ruji.redacted.money, ozone.redacted.gg, @redacted_money on X and t.me/redactedFND on Telegram. Contributors will never ask you for your seed phrase, private keys, recovery backup or passkey. Anyone who does is not acting for the project.

10. Privacy risks

Privacy on a public blockchain depends on how the software is used, on how many other people use it and on factors no one controls. Small crowds, timing and amount patterns, network metadata such as IP addresses, third-party infrastructure, flaws in cryptography, circuits or the setup ceremony, and future analysis techniques can all reduce or remove privacy. Unlinkability is never guaranteed, and you must not rely on the software or the Site to keep you anonymous.

11. Other risks

Using blockchain software involves substantial risk, including software bugs, smart contract failures, network outages and pauses, volatile prices, irreversible transactions, loss of keys or backups, phishing and regulatory change that may restrict or prohibit use in your country. You alone decide whether to use any software described on the Site, and you accept these risks in full.

12. Your responsibility, taxes and no advice

You are solely responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including sanctions, tax and reporting obligations, and for any taxes on your activity.

Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset or to use any software. Do your own research and consult qualified advisers.

13. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all of its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Content may be outdated and may change at any time without notice.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Contributors and anyone who maintains, hosts or contributes to the Site (together, the "Site Parties") are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of digital assets, data, profits or opportunity, arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site, its content or any linked resource. Where liability cannot be excluded, the total liability of all Site Parties together is limited to USD 100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection rules.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and hold harmless the Site Parties from claims, losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your use of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your unlawful use of any software described on the Site.

16. Open source and trademarks

The software described on the Site is open source and governed by its own licenses, which these terms do not change. Names and logos of third-party projects and assets belong to their owners and are shown for identification only, without implying any endorsement or affiliation.

Posts and comments by individual contributors on social media or in community channels are their own and are not statements of the Site.

17. Changes, suspension and disputes

We may change these terms, or change, suspend or close the Site, at any time. The date above shows the latest version, and your continued use after a change means you accept it.

If you have a complaint, please raise it first in the public community channels so we can try to resolve it informally. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim relating to the Site must be brought within one year after it arose. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the invalid part is replaced by the valid provision closest to its purpose. These terms are the entire agreement about the Site. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as disclaimers, limitations and indemnity, survive any termination. The English version governs.
