How a private loan will work

  1. 1

    Unlock your private account

Sign in with a passkey or one signature from the wallet you already use. Nothing about the account points back to that wallet.

  2. 2

    Fund it through the Reserve

New money waits about two hours before it can be used privately, which makes it harder to match a deposit to what you do next.

  3. 3

    Open the loan from Spending

Your BCH moves from the Reserve to a Spending account and becomes collateral on Rujira. You borrow from there.

  4. 4

    Repay or close any time

Paying back and closing happen from the same Spending account, and whatever is left can return to the Reserve.

How borrowing on Rujira works

Collateral
Each coin has a collateral ratio. For BCH it is 70%, so every $100 of BCH lets you borrow up to $70. The collateral is the coin itself, held as a THORChain secured asset, with no bridge or wrapped token in between.
Interest
Rates follow how much of a coin is already lent out and rise as more is borrowed. Lenders receive the interest, minus Rujira’s 10% protocol fee.
No fixed term
A loan stays open as long as your adjusted collateral value stays above your debt. There is no repayment schedule.
Liquidation
If the adjusted loan-to-value reaches 100%, part of the collateral is sold on Rujira’s orderbook to repay part of the loan, until the position is safe again. Rujira charges a 1% liquidation fee and a 0.5% liquidator fee on the repaid debt.

Why it matters for loans

An open loan on a public chain shows its collateral, its debt and with them its liquidation price. Anyone can see how close it is and trade toward it, and the loan ties your collateral to everything else in your wallet. With Redacted the loan is still on-chain, but nothing links it to you.

Borrowing against BCH, answered

How much can I borrow against BCH?+

Up to 70% of the value of your BCH, which is Rujira's current maximum for BCH collateral. Borrowing less than the maximum keeps a safer distance from liquidation.

What does it cost to borrow?+

Rates move with demand. On 6 Oct 2026, the lowest were XRP at 0.50%, AVAX at 0.50%, BNB at 0.50% a year. Every rate is listed on this page.

Can anyone see my loan?+

The loan is public on-chain like any Rujira position, but it belongs to a Spending account, not to your wallet. Nobody watching the chain can tell it is yours.

Why Redacted works this way

Financial privacy, the way the cypherpunks meant it

In the early 1990s the cypherpunks argued that an open society needs people to be able to pay and trade without broadcasting their lives. Public blockchains made every balance and every trade visible by default. Redacted keeps the activity on-chain and the rules public, and takes the person out of the picture.

Open to anyone

Anyone with a wallet can use Redacted, with no sign-up and no identity check. The rules are public and the same for every user, and withdrawals are always open.

Proofs instead of trust

Your browser proves every action with a zero-knowledge proof. Nobody holds your keys or can spend your notes, and the code is open source for anyone to check.

Nodes decide

Independent nodes approve deposits after the checks they choose. New money waits about two hours, which makes a deposit harder to match to what you do next.
