What is Ozone?

Ozone is the reference screener for THORChain and Rujira, built by Redacted’s core contributors. It answers whether an address is tied to known hacks or sanctions lists, works only from public data and decides nothing itself.

Also called Ozone screener.

What it checks

Ozone works from official sanctions lists, stablecoin issuer blacklists and known hacks and exploits. Every entry carries its source, delistings are honoured, and anyone can appeal an entry. The public instance at ozone.redacted.gg also follows funds through THORChain swaps.

Who decides

Ozone signs answers about addresses and can’t move money. Each node chooses which Ozone instance it trusts and checks every answer against that instance’s keys, and every decision about a deposit stays with the nodes. Ozone is published as open source with the launch, so anyone can run their own instance.

Why screening helps privacy

Your anonymity set is your crowd, and a clean crowd is a better crowd to hide in. With the node network, coins tied to known hacks or sanctions lists don’t enter the Reserve, and nobody is asked who they are: there is no sign-up, no KYC and no identity check.

Status

Ozone’s part in deposits arrives with the node network, in upcoming updates.
